Chantay Harris
Executive Administrator
Chantay Harris is Kisner Law's Executive Administrator, overseeing the firm's daily operations and ensuring both clients and staff have the support they need to thrive. With a background in human resources and office management, Chantay has played a key role in growing our team of legal assistants, paralegals, and case managers, while also developing policies, streamlining workflows, and implementing efficient systems that keep the firm moving forward.
Her passion for taking care of people is what first drew her to the HR space—after seeing how social capital and a well-supported team can transform an organization, Chantay has made it her mission to cultivate a work environment rooted in collaboration, trust, and psychological safety. Clients and colleagues alike value her approachable nature, problem-solving mindset, and dedication to making every experience seamless and supportive.
Outside of work, Chantay is a foodie and an avid traveler who loves exploring new experiences, but she finds the most joy in spending time with her family.
Myrtena Gonzalez
Lead Litigation Paralegal
With four years of experience as a paralegal, Myrtena initially delved into immigration law and is now focusing on the practice of personal injury at Kisner Law under the wing of Attorney Jason Kisner. She thoroughly enjoys being part of a team that prioritizes their clients and being able to put forth her efforts to better serve them.
Outside of work, Myrtena also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, with an emphasis on her pets, Malachi and Basil. She is passionate about living life with purpose and joy, while also trying to find ways in helping communities and individuals to do the same.
Cris Pelaez
Worker's Comp Department Chair & Lead Case Manager
A pioneer in workers' compensation and personal injury, Cris currently serves as a Paralegal at Kisner Law. He began his career at a small law firm as a case manager and later expanded his impact through work and personal experiences.
Known for helping the Latin community and tackling difficult tasks, Cris continues to inspire others to learn new things and be their unapologetic self.
When not working, Cris enjoys spending time with his nephews and family and tending to his plants!
Jefferson Turcios
Case Manager
¡Hola mi gente!
My name is Jefferson Turcios, and I am one of the Case Managers here at Kisner Law. In my role, I provide administrative and client support, assist with case preparation, and help ensure our office runs smoothly and efficiently.
Before joining Kisner Law, I studied Brain and Cognitive Sciences and Health, Behavior, and Society (Public Health) at the University of Rochester. I bring to the team a unique combination of compassion, problem-solving, and precision. From working with diverse communities, I've learned how to listen deeply and advocate effectively; from my research and clinical background, I've developed the discipline to manage complex details with accuracy; and from my leadership roles, I've gained the capacity to collaborate across teams and keep projects moving forward.
Outside of Kisner Law, I run a home-based dessert shop, J's Sweets & Treats, where I channel my creativity and dedication to delivering high-quality experiences—whether through pastries or legal assistance, I approach everything with care, attention, and the goal of making a meaningful impact.

Chasalyn Figueroa
Case Manager
A bilingual paralegal with six years of experience in personal injury law, Chasalyn is passionate about going to bat for clients and working hard to help them pursue the best possible outcomes during challenging times.
Outside of the office, Chasalyn enjoys tuning into sports, listening to good music, and unwinding in nature.
Mark Harrington
Director of Client Acquisitions
Mark Harrington serves as our Director of Client Acquisitions. Mark has over 40 years’ experience in the transportation industry ranging from railroads to freight to automotive, and his extensive experience allows him to relate and communicate with our clients with empathy, compassion, and a sense of urgency. Mark understands the importance of establishing a professional, honest, and caring relationship with each and every client that puts their trust in Kisner Law to represent them at a very difficult time in their life.
Mark and his wife Theresa have been married for 41 years and have 5 children. But their grandchildren, Caroline, Finn, and Willa Jane, are the ones that get all the attention!
After his family and grandkids, Mark enjoys spending time on his pontoon boat with his family, watching Virginia Tech football on Saturdays in the fall, and looking for another watch he can add to his collection!
Erin Derkazarian
Junior Case Manager
My name is Erin Derkazarian, and I serve as a Junior Case Manager at Kisner Law. With three years of customer service experience, I take pride in ensuring our clients feel welcomed and supported from the moment they connect with us. In my role, I assist our team with a variety of tasks to help keep daily operations running smoothly. I strive to approach every client interaction with empathy and encourage each person to seek the care they deserve.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, trying new foods, and discovering new music.
Claudia Marroquin
Case Manager
With many years of experience in workers' compensation case management, I bring a strong commitment to supporting individuals throughout their recovery and helping navigate the complexities of the workers' compensation process. I am bilingual, which allows me to connect with and assist a diverse range of individuals and families.
I am a native of the DMV area and deeply value the importance of community and family. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and exploring my passion for horticulture. Whether I'm nurturing plants or nurturing relationships, I find joy in growth, connection, and creating a positive impact in the lives of others.
Hunter McGuire
Case Manager
Hunter McGuire is a legal professional at Kisner Law Firm who is committed to supporting clients with care, patience, and attention throughout their legal matters. With experience in personal injury and civil litigation, Hunter assists with case preparation, medical records and billing, insurance correspondence, settlement demands, discovery, and other aspects of the legal process.
Hunter understands that dealing with a personal injury can be an unfamiliar and stressful experience. With a thoughtful and client-centered approach, Hunter strives to make the process easier to understand while keeping clients informed and supported along the way. Hunter values clear communication, organization, and taking the time to understand each client's individual circumstances.
Outside of the legal field, Hunter is an artist and curator who enjoys creating meaningful experiences and bringing people together. Through art, storytelling, and community, Hunter explores themes of connection and self-expression. Hunter values opportunities to foster understanding, meaningful connection, and a sense of support for others.
Rachel Schardt
Receptionist
My name is Rachel Schardt, and I am the front desk office receptionist at Kisner Law. Through my many years of customer service positions, I know the importance of ensuring clients are comfortable, welcomed, and that they feel heard through this process. As the front desk office receptionist, I am the first point of contact when clients come into the office and typically when they call as well. I pride myself on being friendly and personable from that first moment.
Within the Receptionist role, I take calls, electronic faxes, & mail and route them to the proper case managers. I enjoy being a part of such a hardworking team who strives to give our clients the best care possible! As often being the first person clients see when they come into the office, I do everything in my power to keep our office running efficiently.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and pets. I also enjoy going to concerts and do my best to enjoy life to the fullest!
Zephaniah Jalloh
Litigation Paralegal
Hello everyone!
My name is Zephaniah Jalloh and I serve as a litigation paralegal at Kisner Law. With two years of prior experience as a case manager specializing in worker's comp, I have enjoyed the transition to personal injury and appreciate the opportunity to continue to learn and grow as a legal professional.
When not at work, I can be found reading, going to the movies, and spending time with my friends and family!
Tamara Strickland
Pre-Litigation Paralegal
Tamara Strickland brings more than 30 years of experience as a personal injury paralegal to Kisner Law. She has handled a broad range of matters, including automobile accidents, medical malpractice, catastrophic injuries, and premises liability.
Known for her independence, thoroughness, sharp attention to detail, and ability to anticipate attorneys' needs, Tamara manages a demanding caseload, meets critical deadlines, and helps oversee day-to-day office operations with minimal supervision.
She takes particular pride in building strong relationships with clients and providing knowledgeable, compassionate support at every stage of their cases. Her experience and commitment to client service make her a valuable resource to both the firm and its clients.
Outside of work, Tamara enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, dining, and shopping.
Tiara Strickland
Litigation Paralegal
Tiara Strickland is a litigation paralegal who works closely with attorneys and clients throughout all stages of litigation. She assists with case preparation, discovery, and document management, and serves as a key point of contact for clients, keeping them informed and facilitating communication. With strong attention to detail and a client-focused approach, Tiara helps ensure every matter is handled efficiently and thoroughly.
